Shane Alcock
Biography:
I've been working at WAND since November 2003, first as a casual "minion" and then as a research programmer from August 2005. Broadly, my role is to write and maintain much of the software we use for our passive measurement research, as well as working on my own research projects.
In particular, I currently maintain libtrace, wdcap, libprotoident, libtcpcsm, maji, BSOD and the WITS trace archive.
My research interests include TCP congestion control, application protocol identification, packet capture and processing and flow measurement.
